Techkon's managing director, Albin Baranauskas, will be presenting a free workshop at May's PacPrint exhibition in Melbourne. Local distributor Colour Graphic Services will welcome Baranauskas on his first visit to Australia and is proud that he will be presenting in the Workshop area of the show. It covers colour measurement for printing, packaging, photography, wide format and digital reproduction.
"The topic is Efficient use of Spectrophotometers for colour quality control," says local managing director David Crowther. "Changes to ISO and other standards have necessitated changes in spectrophotometer and spectro-densitometer design and usage. It can be quite confusing with terms such as M0, M1, M2 and M3, the use of optical brighteners in paper stocks and varying illumination specifications such as D50 and D65. Albin is highly experienced in every aspect of correct use of colour measuring devices and the software that goes with them and he communicates very clearly indeed - it will be a very useful workshop for all sectors of the graphic arts."
The workshop date is Thursday 25th May from 2:30 to 3:00 pm and will be a hands-on experience with plenty of time for questions and answers.
Advance bookings for this free workshop can be made online to assure seating at: www.pacprint.com.au/workshop by selecting the 12th workshop down from the drop-down list.
Colour Graphic Services is exhibiting at PacPrint on stand B62, where Mr Baranauskas and Corinne Pèrigaud, also from Techkon, will be based.
